Training Workshop for Facilitators
Teens Against Tobacco Use:
- Is designed specifically for teens as a peer-mentoring program
- Is based on research about smoking prevention and the consequences of smoking
- Fulfills service learning/community service requirements for schools
- Includes media literacy components
- Uses a pyramid teaching model with three phases: adult facilitator training, teen training and youth presentations
Learn How to Present
A day-long training workshop using well researched information, proven methods, educational materials and supportive strategies; designed to teach teens leadership skills, community advocacy, and service learning.
You Will Receive
A certificate of completion, facilitator’s manual and technical assistance for conducting a Teens Against Tobacco Use ® workshop in your community.
Who Should Attend
Individuals who work at: After School Programs, Community Centers, Faith Communities, and Youth-Serving establishments including; YMCA/YWCA, Boys/Girls Clubs, and Scouts.
